My Apprenticeship Journey:

I'm Mona Hafez, born at St George’s Hospital, Hyde Park Corner,
and grew up in Grenfell Walk, Latimer Road, West London.
I joined Sainsbury's in 2021, starting in Food Services before moving to the General Merchandising (GM) department.
I now work as a Beauty Expert.

My initial role in Food Services marked my return to employment after the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, I also contributed to the community as the culinary lead and course material developer for the Climatarian Kitchen and Oxford Mutual Aid.

This experience, creating hundreds of meals sustainably, deeply resonated with Sainsbury's commitment to a sustainable future and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

My journey also includes homeschooling my children, a challenging yet rewarding experience that allowed me to explore diverse topics with passion and dedication.

This portfolio showcases the skills and knowledge gained throughout my apprenticeship, demonstrating my growth within the retail environment. I look forward to discussing my experiences during the end-point assessment.
